I’m Shawn and I believe if you want the world to be a better place - you have to do your part. That’s what this project is all about. I focus on fighting global poverty because I was inspired by Dr. Jeffrey Sachs (author of “The End of Poverty”) while I was a grad student at Notre Dame. In fact, after meeting Dr. Sachs, I decided to withdraw from grad school, pack my bags, grab my computer, buy a camcorder, and begin this journey to try and make the world a better place - one difference at a time.

A 27-year old chooses to change the world. Fighting poverty through what he calls The Uncultured Project, and as he says

It’s about inspiring others to believe that we can be the generation that ends extreme poverty.

Do yourself a favor. Look at his Youtube videos, Flickr photos and follow @uncultured on Twitter.

Nobody is asking you to make such a choice. All that is needed, is a choice to do your part. And the change will be visible. One family at a time. One village at a time. One state at a time. One nation at a time.

PS. Apply today for Grassroutes, and we promise that you would have taken the first step towards doing your part.

My name is Kris Nair and I don’t ‘TALK’ about ‘Making a difference’ - I do my part! I realized it long back, when my mother took me to her community development initiatives, she taught me one thing “It doesn’t take much to make a difference” I’m proud of you Team Grassroutes
