Last week, I’ met up with the folks at Faayda. New Delhi based startup focusing big on India’s untapped SME IT potential.
If you have had a look at google apps, you will know what the hype is all about. Tools like email, calendar, google docs, page creator etc are there as a hosted app which you can simply plugin to your domain name and get it going.
At Faayda , Prashant, the Founder and his kickass coding team, doing something similar but will take it a step further.
The private beta is going to be up soon and the first and second modules are included. Third step of development would be to introduce the ability to create, share and collaborate on documents securely and in real-time. The user will be able to create various documents like word, spreadsheets, presentations etc. online and have the ability to share with other users who can then add their input to the document. This means that all your files are available 24/7 online and can be accessed from any computer around the world as well as your internet ready cell phone.
