MadRat Games was founded by a team of 3 IIT grads (Comp Sc, IIT Bombay & Carnegie Mellon; Design, IIT Guwahati).Their flagship product is Aksharit – the first Indian language word game. It has reached 2500 schools in 1.5 yrs. Its digital versions have been launched in partnership with Nokia (on 5 Lakh touchphones), Intel (AppUp store launch) and Google (Chromestore launch).
Our focus is mostly on Educational/Social Games & Apps on platforms like webapps, fb, iphone/ipad,android basically every possible medium where our games & users can be!
MadRat Games was chosen as INK (TED India) Fellow 2011, was invited to speak at Asia’s largest Entrepreneurial Summit hosted by TiE on ‘Ideas that Impact’ for the last 2 years, and was featured as a Cover Story in The WEEK magazine’s republic day edition, alongwith Education World,Economic Times, MINT, The Hindu, Hindustan Times , INC magazine (pg 72,73), Entrepreneur magazine and DARE.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- MadRat Games is looking to add a Lead Game Developer to their Game Design team. The core focus would be on developing games / apps on iOS, Android and Facebook platforms with social media integration.
- 1-4 years software development experience
- Skilled at Web 2.0 development
- Must have strong experience in Object Oriented Technologies (C++,Java)
- Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Superficient in HTML 5, PHP, CSS, Java Script; iPhone, Android development.
- Intraprenurial: Lead the Technical division at MadRat Games.
- 2-3 years of mobile & web app/game development is a plus.
